About Lorem Ipsum Placeholder
We build small, fast, genuinely useful tools for designers and developers – the kind you reach for mid-task and that just work, without accounts, uploads or friction.
Our mission
Design and front-end work is full of tiny recurring chores: filling a layout with believable dummy text, dropping in a placeholder image at the right size, checking whether two colors have enough contrast, or framing a screenshot in a device. Each is a 30-second job that too often means hunting for a tool, signing up, or wading through ads and pop-ups. Our goal is simple: make each of those chores instant, free and private.
What we build
- Lorem Ipsum generator – dummy text by words, sentences or paragraphs, copied with one click.
- Image placeholder generator – sized placeholder images you can download as PNG or JPG.
- Color contrast & harmony tool – WCAG contrast checking and palette generation.
- Device mockup generator – pure-CSS iPhone, Android, tablet and MacBook frames.

Why it’s free
The tools are free to use and always will be. Running the site is funded by unobtrusive advertising, which lets us keep every feature open to everyone with no paywalls and no sign-up. You are never asked to create an account, and there is nothing to buy.
Your privacy comes first
The core tools run entirely in your browser. The text you generate, the images you create and the colors you test are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
